A little about us



The Kerry Way Folklore and Heritage Trail Project: This project is aimed at promoting a greater sense of understanding of the history, heritage, folklore, and culture along the Kerry Way Walking Route by connecting with and placing the local community at the core of the walkers experience.

This project was initiated by Béaloideas Chíarraí.

Committee members: John O Connor - Chairperson, Sean de Buitléar - Treasurer, Mike Morris - Secretary, Patricia O Hare, TJ O Mahony, Una Cosgrave supported by IMaR Technology Gateway & ActiveMe. We are very grateful to all the people who participated in this project and the people who gave their time being interviewed to give the local culture, history & knowledge of the Kerry Way.

Kerry Folklore - Béaloideas Chiarraí


Kerry Folklore is an organisation which:
  • Records oral life-memories in County Kerry, Ireland
  • Has published two books of folklore anthologies
  • Is working on further books
  • Is researching new [to us] forms of publishing, such as Audiobooks and Downloads

Muckross Kerry


The Trustees of Muckross House (Killarney) Ltd., is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation. Our Members and Directors are drawn from all walks of life. They share a common interest in the preservation of the Heritage of Muckross House, Killarney, and in the History and Folk life of County Kerry.

IMaR


IMaR Technology Gateway The Intelligent Mechatronics and RFID (IMaR) Technology Gateway is based at IT Tralee and is part of the Technology Gateway Network, a nationwide resource for industry based in the IoTs delivering solutions on near to market problems for industrial partners. IMaR provides solutions for companies using Intelligent Mechatronics, RFID and Internet of Things.
